A Prayer for You

Good Morning Family,

I am always thinking about you even though we may not have the opportunity to speak.  You and your family are constantly in my prayers.  Today, I am sharing with you a prayer that I often pray on your behalf.  Be blessed and prosperous today.  I love you.  God Bless.

Heavenly Father,

 

Have your way in the lives of Your people on today.  Lord, I pray that the situation they are facing be resolved and that they are victorious in You.  No weapon formed against us shall prosper and any tongue that speaks against us, we shall condemn.  We have power in Jesus’ name to cast down those things that do not line up with Your Word.  We need not to be fearful of man or his influence - man has nothing and no power in comparison to You.  When You open a door, no man in his finite strength will have the ability to close it.  Father, You have the final say in all matters.  Help us to remain faithful to You and You alone. 

 

Thank you Father for the boldness that we have in You to stand up for what is right and morally just.  Thank you Father for making us a peculiar people - those that are set apart for Your purpose and for Your glory.  We fully accept Your will for our lives without reservations.  I stand in agreement with Your people on today - give them the ability to step up and into what You are calling them to do.  I come against the spirit of fear right now in the Name of Jesus.  Fear, you have no place here!  God, You have created us and have not given us the spirit of fear!  You have bestowed upon us Love, Joy, Peace, and a Sound, Well-Disciplined mind.  Have Your way in our lives Lord.  Allow us to be good stewards over that which You have given us - our homes, our jobs, our relationships, our finances, our joy, our peace, our love and our lives.  Lord, allow us to not waste time, but to have a stated purpose for everything that we do. 

 

Lord, I thank You for this time and I pray that Your people have a day free of stress and anxiety.  Give them peace Father that surpasses all understanding.  Keep them focused on the things of You.  Bless the work of their hands that they may prosper on today.  Give them favor in every area of their lives on today.  Thank you Father for Your people that live and strive after the things of You.

 

In the Name that is above all others, where every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess, Your precious Son Jesus. Amen.

Hello Family,

GMA Today

Today I rose to kiss the yellow drenched world only to discover that the sun had been kidnapped with a demand of grey soaked skies filled with soggy pillows. To my dismay, I turnover attempting to bury my head under a mound of blankets, only to discover the clock mocking me. Eight thirty-five! Eight thirty-six! Eight forty!

Uuhhgg! Must I! Oh heck! I guess I will. So I turn on life - the television - to get caught up with the world.  Good Morning America! blares across the screen as cheerful Robin Roberts begins to interview an author. The topic of conversation was her book entitled Steering by Starlight - Find Your Right Life, No Matter What. As the conversation continued, something caught my attention. A concept uttered by Martha Beck that caused me to sit straight up on my pillow and blanket laden pallet.

“Sometimes goals interfere with your destiny.”

What! How can that be? Goals are suppose to push you into your destiny. Right??? Well, not according to Ms. Beck. I continued to listen as I wiped away the gunk from my eyes and I realized that she had some very valid points. So as a public service, I decided to share these thoughts with you in hopes that you too will move out of your state of mediocrity and tap into your God given talents.  Walk into the life that was crafted for you.

Thoughts from Martha Beck - Life Coach, columnist for O magazine, and author of “Steering by Starlight: Find Your Right Life No Matter What”. The following is paraphrased from an interview that aired on the Good Morning America broadcast on 11 April 2008 with personal commentary added (in bold).

Sometimes goals interfere with your destiny. Fear stops you from achieving your destiny. It is not about what other’s think about you or your life. The approval of others bears no weight in your life decisions. It is your time to go for it! Go After It! Know your goals to reach them - live your best life.

Three Steps on the Right Path

Step One - Be still/stay quiet 15 minutes each day. Remove distracters and fillers of your time. Focus on You!  Have fun while you do it. Clarity will come.

Step Two - Tell yourself the absolute truth. Tell the truth to yourself about what is happening around you and about what is happening within you. Do not avoid the facts of your situation.

Step Three - Consider your options and always choose to act in a way that feels most joyful to you. Assess the situation and always choose joy, peace, and happiness.
