Servanthood – What Would Christ Do?

This dynamic teaching is based on the book entitled God’s Armorbearer by Terry Nance.

Servanthood will look at the challenges of maintaining the mindset of a servant while we lead others. We may be called to do great things in Christ, however, we can only attain these accolades by way of servitude.

Hello family!

As life would have it, this past weekend was very interesting to say the least. I faced with a few circumstances that have tested my faith and all I can say is….. BUT GOD!

In the midst of trials and adversity, we must always seek to find the blessing behind the disappointments and the setbacks. Even when I desired to roll up in a ball and wallow in self pity, my spirit man fought my flesh vehemently –

and WON!

Each day as I walk through this life, God ceases to amaze me with His ability to grow and mature me in ways that are unfathomable to me.

Today, I bless God for the growth and the maturity that I have acquired.

Although I know I have won this fight, I stand firm on Him and do not glory in myself. For it is only through God’s grace and mercy that we are able to live this life effectively for Him.

I pray that you have a blessed day and enjoy the devotional readings that follow provided by DaySpring.com.

Blessed and Highly Favored,

Dr. Malissa

Jesus Calling

Keep your eyes on Me! Waves of adversity are washing over you, and you feel tempted to give up. As your circumstances consume more and more of your attention, you are losing sight of Me. Yet

I am with you always, holding you by your right hand. I am fully aware of your situation, and I will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear.

Psalm 73:23; I Corinthians 10:13

Excerpt from the devotion for February 27th from the book

Jesus Calling by Sarah Young

A Friend in the Storm

When it feels like life has failed you and your mind’s been cast in war,

please remember Love’s forever; I will pass you through this door.

You don’t cry alone in battle, even when you think you’ve lost.

Please believe this truth, My winner: Heaven paid your victor cost.

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18

Excerpt from the devotional gift book

A Friend in the Storm by Cheryl Ricker.

God Will See You Through

Sometimes it’s hard to see through our tears.

But even when we can’t see, God has promised to be there – loving us, strengthening us, giving us what we need to face each day.

No matter what happens, God will hold you close and see you through because you are so precious to Him.

God cares, cares right down to the last detail. James 5:11 The Message

Delight yourself also in the Lord; and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 (NKJV)

Main points:

1- Delight yourself in the Lord/take delight in the Lord/delight yourself on Jehovah

Delight: Noun- a high degree of pleasure or enjoyment; joy; rapture  Verb- to have great pleasure; take pleasure

On: Preposition- supported by; attached to, unified with; covering, wrapped for

Jehovah: Noun- the unchanging, eternal, self-existent God; the “I am that I am”, the covenant keeping God.

2- You will receive the desires of your heart/He will give you your heart desires/He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart

Desire: Noun- a longing or craving for something that brings satisfaction or enjoyment; an expressed wish

Heart: Noun- your center of emotion; the center of your total personality; the breast, the bosom; the vital, the essential part

Secret: Adjective- done, made, or conducted without the knowledge of others

Petition: Noun- a formally drawn request bearing names of a number of those making the request; something sought by request or entreaty; a request made for something desired

With full understanding of the key terms within this verse, we can now address the meaning of Psalm 37:4.

Take a high degree of pleasure supported by, attached to, unified with, covered and wrapped by the unchanging, eternal, self-existent, covenant keeping God and He will give you the expressed wish, the formally drawn request conducted without the knowledge of others that reside within your center of emotion, total personality, the breast, the bosom, the vital and essential part – your heart.

Delight thyself also in the Lord; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart. (KJV)

Keep company with God, get in on the best. (The Message)

Psalm 37:4

We can only achieve, embrace, and fully receive this command through relationship with God.  This relationship is one that engenders intimacy and security in knowing that God, Jehovah, has the ability and obligation to provide us with not only our necessities but also our innermost, secret desires.  When our relationship shifts from the superficial and transparent into a deeper, intimate union, then our desires will align themselves with the will of God.  As a result of that alignment, God is obligated to keep the covenant that He made with us – through Abram – to fulfill our heart’s desire and to guide us to our destiny.

Father, bless Your people on this day with the confidence to know that You desire to have a personal and intimate relationship with them.  Give them the desire to strengthen their relationship with You.  Enable them to go deeper in their intimacy with You.  Father, I also pray for those that may read this devotional and do not know You as their Lord and Savior.  I thank You for the initial step that they are taking to learn about You.  Their very obedience in reading this passage proves that they desire and are inspired to know You more.  Guide each individual along the path to their destiny in You.

Keep them.  Protect them. Nurture them.

Thank you Father.

In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

I’m here to declare to you my past is over.

In You old things are made new.

Surrendered my life to Christ.

I’m moving forward!

You make all thing new.

Yes, You make all things new and

I will follow You forward!”

~Ricardo Sanchez and Israel Houghton Moving Forward

It is my prayer that in this season you will move forward with God

and in the direction that He has chosen for your life.

You must be stern in your conviction and

confident in the word that He has already given to you.

This not the time for you to become doubtful,

nor is it a time for you to allow other voices to deter you from

the things that God has promised you!

Your season is upon you!

Keep walking into your season!

Continue to follow after God, His voice and His leading.

Your obedience is crucial.

You cannot afford to miss a step!

Stay encouraged and allow this song to minister to you.

Blessed and Highly Favored,

“Exceedingly

Abundantly

Above all

All you can ask from him

According to the power

That worketh in you

God is able to do just what he said he would do

He’s gonna fulfill every promise to you

Don’t give up on God

‘Cause He won’t give up on you

He’s able”

~Darwin Hobbs  He’s Able

I decree and declare that God IS ABLE to all that He has promised to you!

He is able to heal!

He is able to deliver!

He is able to save!

My prayer is that you are reminded that God has made you victorious!  Satan has nothing on you!

He cannot steal your joy!

He cannot steal you peace!

He cannot take your mind!

He cannot take your dreams!

He cannot have your destiny!

HE CANNOT HAVE YOUR LIFE!

This season of testing is just that – IT IS A TEST – and you are well on the way to passing.

God has equipped you with every weapon and defense against the enemy.

Your test is

DO YOU TRUST HIM.

Do you Believe the words that HE spoke to you?

Do you believe the promises that He gave to you freely?

This is not the time to give up, nor is it the time to throw in the towel.

God does not make quitters!

He has made us MORE THAN CONQUERORS!

We are ABLE to STAND against the firey darts of Satan.

GOD IS ABLE TO DO WHAT HE SAID HE WOULD DO!

HE IS ABLE!
